Printer/Designer
The Essential skills the applicant will need:-
- Ability to use Adobe Illustrator including:
- The creation of Vector artwork from scratch.
- The creation of scalable print ready files from scratch.
- The ability to alter existing artwork so that it can be printed to any size.
- The ability to alter and upscale the resolution of customer artwork to make it print ready.
- Producing proof drawings and print to an agreed time scale
- To order and maintain stock levels of materials used within your area.
Forward Planning:
Do I have enough material, ink or laminate etc. to complete the required jobs within the required timescale. If not they will need to order said materials.
Ability to multi-task:
The ability to print one job whilst cutting or laminating or setting up another job.
Time management skills:
When do I need to start a job in order to make the required completion date. (I can teach them how long jobs will take, but the initial ability has to be there.)
Ability to work within a team:
The applicant will need to be able to work with other people in other parts of the factory. (We very often have battenburg kits that need some print in order to be finished.)
Willingness to work in other departments:
There will be times when the applicant will need to work in other departments within the factory.
Physical requirements:
- The applicant will need to be able to lift a 1600mm wide weighing 20kg to elbow height, this is required to load new rolls onto the printer.
- Previous experience of Operating Mimaki and Latex printers plus cutters
- Previous experience of operating large scale laminators
- Previous experience of using Corel draw
- Being local to Burgess Hill and be able to commute daily.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £26,000.00- £ 30,000.00 per year (this is dependent on experience)
Work Location: In person
Hours of Work:-
- Monday 8.00 – 4.30
- Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday 8.00 – 5.00
- Friday 8.00 – 3.00
1 hour lunch taken every day.
Holiday – 20 working days increasing to 25 after 1 year service

As a Business Development Manager your key tasks will include
- Developing new business opportunities through client calls, client meetings, linked in media, networking and exhibitions
- Updating all activity/leads through the company CRM
- Actively pursuing and closing deals
- Identify and successfully upsell or cross sell to existing clients
